I am a children’s author and teacher.
I’m also a bilingual poet who writes in Irish and English.
I have published three poetry books in Irish and have won many prestigious prizes. I have written hundreds of poems, often about the power of nature, mermaids, myths, magic, and the occasional ghost.
When I’m not reading or writing I can be found in the darkest forest or along the crashing seashore, dreaming up my next story. I love old bookstores and flea markets. My bookshelves are heaving with my collections of fairy tales and I like to read at least one a day.
I live in Cork city with my husband, daughter and two faithful canine companions.
